Since I came back to Taos, I have been working to complete a way cool site - taoslink.com - that has every Taos web site.
taoslink.com is way more than a "directory" now. It's a total search engine and marketing enhancement to each and every one of the Taos, NM web sites.
After Radha passed, in early 2009, the taoslink.com site was in rough shape. Starting in September 2009, we began a full upgrade to the technology with Dr. Naveen Kapur, in New Delhi, Data was moved from the older technology to the upgraded technology in consutation with Lee at Mosets in Malaysia, then Chitra in Delhi helped with initial link checking. Later (after I returned to Taos), Stacy in Denver and I updated all of the content listings - removed broken links, and added a lot of new sites.
The overall number of Taos sites has shrunk, but the quality of the individual sites now is much stronger. taoslink.com is stronger too. Each listing now features geocoding and a nice photo or graphic image, as well as telephone number. taoslink.com is by far the best 'picture' of what Taos is really about from top to bottom. On taoslink.com if it's cool, they've got a cool web site..., and if they've got a cool web site it's there. I'm happy to see that the site also has (per today) a Google Page Rank of 4/10 and an Alexa Ranking of #315,456.
This is a major upgrade for a really cool site, and it was accomplished well.
